in der Diskussion Fliegen mit dem 3Digi / Die Parameter » Tail oscillations
Hello,
I have converted a Raptor 620 to a FBL helicopter, and added the 3DIGI as FBL controller.
Set up went well.
Rotation of rotor is clockwise, i started with presets for beginner and 600 model size.
First start was with a hyperion digital servo, but… with factory settings I encountered a heavy swinging tail, witch slammed on the ground.
SO I decided to change the servo to a Futaba S9253 and changed that in the settings.
I also changed the tailrotor from a plastic unit to a metal unit, to eliminate play. (plastic unit had some wear and tear).
However, oscillations remained.
I'm now trying to fly with a rotor RPM set in the 3DIGi governor of 1650 (governor works great!).
However, currently, with these settings
agility 40,
P 30,
Overall gain 30,
I 46,
Irange 60,
Idecay HH,
D 15,
initial response 35 and
D Decay of 30,
with a torque compensation of 50,
I still end up having considerable tail oscillations, ranging from none, to slow, drift, and some fast oscillations (3 or 4 mostly).
Extra gain is 0 on all 4 items.
What do I have to change???
Rotor setup was almost spot on; no oscillations there (as far as I can see with those nasty tail oscillations).
If you want, I can always send you the 3Digi 4ds file, but I have currently no idea how to upload this :-)
The potential of this unit is clear to me, but… I desperately want to fly that heli!
